Eri Sugimoto

Eri was born in Tokyo and raised in Yokohama, Japan. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History and her Master of Design degree in Industrial Design and worked as an industrial designer in Japan. Throughout her career as a designer, she met the world of clay and started with handbuilding pottery at pottery studio in Tokyo. In 2005, she moved to Austin, TX. After relocating to California in 2006, she started to learn wheel throwing. She now lives in Orange county where she works in her studio.
